As we move past the midpoint of 2026, the Terry Scholars Fund Board is proud to bring you a summer update!
The Terry Scholars Fund was launched in 2023, and the impact of the last three and a half years is best measured by the Terry Scholars who invested back into this community. 100% of every donation to the Terry Scholars Fund goes to scholarships, so each gift ensures the continuity of Howard and Nancy Terry’s Mission.
We sincerely thank you for your support and look forward to Terry Legacy Day this fall.

“Being on the TSF Board since its inception in 2023 has been an incredible journey in seeing how simply sharing our “Terry” story has brought together so many Terrys—both in encouraging others to share their own stories and in reconnecting through giving back to the Foundation that gave all of us so much.
For many who live outside of the state, and even outside the country, TSF is a way to honor the response each of us gave to the Terry Give Back question during our interview. In many ways, it reflects the circle in the TSF logo—our shared commitment to circle back, give back, and help continue the ripple effect that began when someone chose to invest in us.
Each year as an interviewer, I meet at least one additional candidate on every panel who stands out as a future Terry. My hope is that TSF continues to grow so we can offer scholarships to those deserving students. ”

Each year, we are elated to see participation increase for the Terry Legacy Day celebration. During this time of reflection and gratitude, Scholars share how the Terry Scholarship has impacted their lives and the lives of their loved ones. They also share what the Terry Legacy means to them and how they will honor their pledge to be good stewards of that legacy for future generations of Terry Scholars.
Since Terry Legacy Day also falls at the end of the year, Scholars also honor their pledge to give back by making year-end donations. Since 2023, $216,273 has been donated via 478 gifts in honor of Terry Legacy Day.

“The Terry Scholars Fund Board is so excited to share an update on the impact of the TSF over the past three years. We are still building a foundation for the future with this new option for giving back. Our goals for TSF are simple: increased awareness and year-over-year growth in both donors and total donations.
We’re using the two Terry Action Days each year to focus the efforts of all Terry Scholars on growing the impact of TSF. Terry Give Back Day (March 22) and Terry Legacy Day (Nov. 27) help remind us of Howard & Nancy Terry’s legacy, and the part we all play in honoring our pledge to give back to help current and future Terry Scholars.”

“Over the years, one of my favorite activities has been participating on the Self-Evaluation Letter Response Committee. This has also provided me the opportunity to self-reflect on my own goals, what the Terry Foundation has meant to me, and how I want to stay engaged.
By joining the Terry Scholars Fund Board of Directors this past January, I have been able to really see the transformational impact our alumni engagement and gifts have on Scholars from the moment they are offered a scholarship to when they are 20-year alumni. This impact went beyond the numbers when I had the opportunity to hand out Gold Pens at the Reunion Ranch picnic this past May.”

“Serving on the Terry Scholars Fund Board has given me the opportunity to turn gratitude into action. It’s reminded me that being a Terry Scholar doesn’t end at graduation. It’s an opportunity to stay engaged, build lasting relationships, and help create opportunities for the next generation of scholars. As I finish my three-year term, I’m excited for another Terry Scholar to bring their perspective and passion to the board.”
