The Board of the Terry Scholars Fund is comprised of Terry Alumni from different educational and professional backgrounds. Two members of the Terry Foundation’s Board of Directors also serve on this Board to ensure consistency in the execution of the Terry mission and vision.
This committed group is tasked with ensuring that the Terry Scholars Fund successfully and responsibly supports the Terry Scholarship Program and the donors who choose to invest in future generations of Terry Scholars. Kaitlyn’s term on the Board will be from 2026 to 2028.

Kaitlyn Block is a 2013 UT Dallas Terry Scholar from Houston, Texas. She is an experienced public health practitioner with a decade of experience in cancer prevention, healthcare administration, and cross-sector collaboration. Kaitlyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Studies (UT Dallas, 2017) and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy (Yale School of Public Health, 2019).
She has served as an interview panelist, attended spring picnics, has been a keynote speaker at fall banquet both virtually and at UT Dallas, and has served as an Alumni Advisory Board Member for the Terry Foundation. Her favorite “give back,” though, is participating in the annual review and response to Self-Evaluation Letters as it allows the opportunity to get to know and support Scholars throughout their college experience.

During her undergraduate career, Kaitlyn served as co-service chair and vice president of the UT Dallas Terry Scholars, co-founded a public health organization on campus, competed nationally in moot court, participated in the Archer Fellowship program in Washington, D.C. and interned abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Her favorite memory as a Terry Scholar was when UT Dallas hosted the Statewide Officer Retreat in 2016.
Kaitlyn currently works in cancer prevention and community health at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center where she began her career in 2019. Outside of work, her passions include endurance sports such as triathlon and cycling, civic engagement, traveling, and mentoring.
