Stay in Touch: Terry Emails
The Terry Foundation maintains two primary email lists: one for current students and one for Terry Alumni.
Types of emails:
- Monthly Announcements (main student & alumni lists)
- Terry Scholar Alumni Association Chapter updates (one list per chapter)
Ensuring Terry Emails Reach You
The following tips will help ensure that Terry Foundation and Terry Scholar Alumni Association emails reach your inbox. Each email provider is slightly different, so you should tailor these steps to suit your individual account. In most cases, you’ll only need to take one of the actions below to “whitelist” our emails:
Email Tips
- Be sure to check your SPAM or PROMOTIONS folders; our Alumni emails may be sorted there initially. If this email appeared in your SPAM or PROMOTIONS folder, try dragging it into your inbox or marking it as “not SPAM” or “not junk” in your message options.
- Gmail users: Go to “Filters and Blocked Addresses” in the web version of Gmail and create a new filter to whitelist the terryfoundation.org and terryscholars.org email domains.
- Outlook users: In your Outlook “Junk Email” settings, add the terryfoundation.org and terryscholars.org email domains to “Safe Senders and Domains.”
- Hotmail users: In the “Options” menu, navigate to “Junk Email” and then to “Safe and Blocked Senders.” Add the terryfoundation.org and terryscholars.org email domains to your safe senders list.
- Yahoo users: Under the Yahoo Mail Settings Menu, navigate to “Filters” and and create a new filter to whitelist the terryfoundation.org and terryscholars.org email domains.
You could also try adding the following email addresses to your Contact List/ Address Book, which should automatically send our emails to your inbox:

Terry Connect
Terry Connect is a a networking platform exclusively for Terry Scholars. Users can browse the Terry Directory to find fellow Scholars using a variety of filters based on location, career, education, experiences, and other keywords. Message former classmates, connect with others in your field, find a mentor/mentee, and more!
Terry Connect also has a Terry-Owned Business Directory, Jobs & Opportunities Board, and Discussion Groups.

Terry Give Back Day
March 22nd
Terry Give Back Day is a celebration of the many ways Terry Scholars give back to the world around them. Through acts of service and philanthropy, Terry Scholars honor the mission and vision of the Terry Foundation as a global community.
Participate with fellow Scholars, your friends and family, co-workers, members of your local community, or individually to help spread the impact that Terry Scholars can make in Texas and across the world.

Terry Legacy Day
November 27th
On Howard Terry’s birthday, November 27th, the Terry Scholar Community reflects on and celebrates the mission and vision that have made it possible for almost 7,000 Texas students to pursue a college education without the burden of extreme debt.
To celebrate Terry Legacy Day, members of the Terry Community become Legacy Day Ambassadors and share their stories to raise awareness of the opportunities and impact created by the Terry Scholarship. Terry Legacy Day is also a chance to invest in future generations of Terry Scholars by directing year-end donations to the Terry Scholars Fund.
