Join us as we celebrate Alumni accomplishments so far in 2023!

While the Terry Banquets and Picnics are great opportunities to give back by connecting with and celebrating our students, the Virtual Alumni Gatherings are ways to connect with and celebrate fellow Terry Alumni. These gatherings are hosted virtually to increase the chances of making new Terry connections inside and outside of Texas.

This event will last one hour and is an opportunity for Alumni to receive an update from the Terry Board of Directors, to connect with familiar faces, and to meet new friends in our Terry Alumni Community.

Our Virtual Gatherings are casual, and appearances by family members and pets are allowed and encouraged!

Event Agenda:

• Brief presentation from the Terry Scholar Alumni Association

• Featured speaker: Rebecca Coon (UT 2003) “Embracing Courageous Pivots: Crafting a Purposeful Journey in your Career and Life.”

• Small informal breakout sessions with fellow Alumni from around the country. Feel free to share an update about something you’re proud of right now, and introduce any loved ones who might be nearby during the event.

About Our Speaker

Rebecca Coon, a 2003 UT Austin Terry Scholar, embarked on a diverse career journey after earning her Bachelor’s in Studio Art and minor in Biology. Fueled by a passion for the intersections of science, art, and education, Rebecca pivoted from pre-med to ecology to studio art, and eventually found her niche in museum studies. Over the past 15 years, she has worked with zoos and museums to craft exhibits, education programs, community events, a podcast, and personal/professional development programs for college students. As a mother of two children under 3, seeking alignment and growth in a new chapter of life, she recently left her role as an Exhibit and Education Program Developer at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History. Now, as an entrepreneur, she’s building an online course and community to empower purpose-driven, growth-oriented professionals to align their lives with their deepest aspirations. Join us at the virtual banquet on November 2nd to explore Rebecca’s journey and discover how you too can embrace courageous pivots for a purposeful, meaningful life.
